Museum Mandala


Beautiful tourism-  The presence of Air Force Aerospace Museum Mandala was founded on the idea of leadership of the Air Force to capture and document all activities and historic events in the Air Force. The museum was inaugurated on April 4, 1969 at Jalan Tanah Abang, Mount, Jakarta by Air Force Commander Air Vice Admiral Rusmin Muryadin. Based on various considerations that the city of Yogyakarta in the period 1945 - 1949 history plays an important role, namely as crater candradimuka for Flight Cadet / Midshipman Air Force Academy,
Then in November 1977 the museum which was originally located in Jakarta and Yogyakarta transferred to and merged with the Museum at the base Adisucipto Ksatrian AAU. Next date of July 29, 1978 was inaugurated as the Central Air Force Museum "Aerospace Mandala". In 1984 the museum moved to Wonocatur, exactly to a former sugar mill building that was built during the Dutch occupation.

Central Air Force Museum "Aerospace Mandala" has a diverse collection includes photos, banners, dioramas, uniforms, aircraft, weapons, inscriptions, sculptures, paintings, a sign of honor and the collection of books. The plane, a collection of this museum include aircraft aluminum production first created in 1948 in Maospati, Madiun by IPTN and replica aircraft Dakota VT-CLA-owned Indian airline that was shot down in the area Ngotho, Bantul by the Dutch when he was about to land in Maguwo Yogyakarta.
